  • DesignShop 9 question

For some reason I can't find the setting for this. If I type out some letters or numbers, Designshop shows the connection between letters on the screen, how can I disable that? If you look at the link below, there is a line between the 1 and 2 and I want to get rid of the line so when I show a customer the logo on the screen, it looks better. http://i52.tinypic.com/fkr29l.gif

Put a trim after the letter you don't want connected to the next.

Steve, those are called "jump stitches" and there is a setting in your Design Shop to tell your machine when to trim...when stitch is greater than.... As Darlene said, inserting a trim there will do the same thing and cause a tie-off and tie-in which will get rid of that jump stitch.

        Steve,
In Version 9 go to Properties/Tie-In & tie-off/ and check Auto Trim Length. Reduce the number to the right until the stitches disappear.

There is also an icon at the top of DS (pro + has it) that is called "toggle connectors" that will also make the jump stitches or lines between elements dissappear on screen but they will remain for sew purposes if you want them.
