  • Border on design

We are attempting to make a design for someone and have it down except for a border. What icon do we click on, or is there one that will do a narrow border on some lettering?, or do we have to put in each stitch?

    Anne,

This is going to depend on what DS level you are currently using.

A shortcut way is to hi-lite the element you wish to place a border around in the project tree, then holding down the shift key, left click on the Singleline center icon. This places a border around the element that can be edited for width, density, underlays, pull comp, etc.

The other way is to have the element hi-lited in the project tree, right click on the element, go into Properties, left click on "Change Element Type" and select the type of border you wish to have, ie.. walk, bean, singleline, etc. Works well on lettering as long as the lettering is not too small.

The use of the "Corners" tab in Properties, Column....is a valuble tool for mitering or capping the corners in a satin stitch column with sharp corners in it.

As I said this will depend on the version and level of dDS you have as to how you go about finding the Change Element Type selection.
