  • Stablizer for jacket backs

I have an order to do jacket backs for 6 Port Authority CHALLENGER Jackets with nylon shell and heavy weight fleece lining. The waistband is ribbed. I will be using my 11x13 Mighty Hoop and sewing through all layers.

    The logo is 10"W x 9"H, 80,000 stitches.

What type of stablizer should I use?

Nylon jkts are usuallty fairly stable so for smaller to med stitch counts a tearaway will suffice
    but
    w your 80,00 stitches I suggest 2 cutaways
First - a 3 oz "wet laid" non directional dense soft non woven in wht or blk - one layer
    or
Secondlynd this I believe is the better choice
2 pieces of the no show diagonal nylon mesh cross patterned.

Cutaways have longer (poly) fibers allowing your thread to become entangled fairly easily leading to better registration or definition

Pls feel free to e-mail me off list and direct for samples
