I am trying to sew out an athletic block/twill name on a jersey and I can't seem to keep the thread from piling up in the crook of the "Y" "R" and "A" The 45 degree corners come out fine but the others still leave something to be desired...Any help or suggestions would be appreciated at this point. I can send a file if helpful.

You can adjust the degrees at which the angles are affected in the "corner" settings. This however creates a catch-all situation. I have found it advantageous to split the element so I can deal with the individual corners on occasion.

You might try using a zigzag instead of a satin and you might click short stitches and see if that helps.
