  • Changes in embroidery files since using Amaya OS version 9.00.088

We recently upgraded to the Amaya version listed in subject line. Our design shop is version 7.00.114 pro +. Since we began using the version 9, my files are changing when loaded into the machines. Is this because of the version of our DS, or is it yet another fluke in the software?? ie:The design shop does not show jump stitches, however when loaded onto the machines, they are there. Tried changing the setting for jumps to trims, but that did not help. I've lost trims as well. Anyone else experiencing problems with this version? Any suggestions to solve the gliches that are happening?

I noticed that bringing DS7 files into DS9-suddenly there are jump stitches that have to be edited out...and this is a pain as customers come in for repeat orders from a year ago or before we upgraded. But I got both AMAYA OS9 and DS9 (with a new XT) so you should get the upgrade to DS also...there are some things that are different between 7 and 9. Just too bad the software developers couldn't make the 'file transition' work cleaner. Leaves a lot of work for us!

Most of the time all I have to do is go in under properties and tie-in tie-off and check the boxes for auto-tie and auto-trim & set the parameters (default is 64 points). See if this helps.

thanks all. Think it's time to upgrade our design shop. Tried the properties box for trims, but didn't take. Had to manually add trims to eliminate the jumps. Have a great Thanksgiving!
