Side of caps

Any advice on sewing on the side of a cap? This is my first one and am having trouble with getting the hat to stay in tight!

We us a fast frame or a slimline clamp to stitch on the side of cap. We us a tear away. It will take a bitWe usually do it on one side of the first seam maybe letting the seam split the two digits. About a .6-.7 height block number.
