dress ties

I am looking for info on hooping dress ties, has any one done embroidery on ties ?

I open them up in the back, use a tear away and a slim line clamping hoop. I try to line up with the point in the middle. They take time becasue you have to be sure the rough area doesn't rub the tie. We slide a piece of plastic bag on top when putting them in place and removing them.
