Stitching Text on Visors

I need some advice. I am stitching the word TENNESSEE on some visors. The first one I did just doesn't look right. I did straight line text. It appears to me that it needs to be arched a bit or something. Can someone please give their opinion as to whether they stitch text straight line text or indeed arch?

Dear Chrissy,
If you have enough room add a little arch to the word. Are you stitching it from the center out. If not that might be giving you a pull that moves the letters just a bit.
