Can you try using the updated zundt classic without the embellishment that is now called classic monogram in DS v9? It can be made quite large if you use double zig zag underlay. I have seen it up to 10 inches on a pillow.

Hi Marcelle, thanks for the suggestion. I have an older version of Design Shop and don't have zundt classic. Rats!
