Hi, I just got into embroidery and I am still learning. I really enjoy seeing the amaya run smooth. But right now i am having a issue with the bobbin thread cutting short. What happens next is the upper stitching is unable to tie in and then it reads an error thread break, but there is no thread break, The bobbin thread is just not long enough to tie the stitch down. Any tips on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I cleaned the bobbin case and the thread did seam to run more smoothly, but every now and then, the bobbin thread will be cut to short and when the next tie in, it wont be able to tie in. Then the error of bobbin break shows. Anyone ever run into this problem? I have to pull the bobbin thread out to 1 inch and insert it back in order for the tie in to work.Just started Embroidery and I love it.

well, i did some searching and came across some info. one of the tech posted to clean and oil the knife area and so i did that. It seems to help a lot, but still once in a while, I will get a short bobbin thread that just wont tie in. But at least it did reduce the problem to just once in a while.Just started Embroidery and I love it.

apc....
When cleaning the trimmer area, be sure to remove the knife and it's carrier and clean underneath of it as it rides n top of the selector.
If the selector is restricted from traveling it's full stroke, it will fail to pick up the bobbin thread and the knife will then cut the bobbin off at the top of the bobbin case leaving a "short bobbin tail".

I did some adjustments and managed to eliminate the Bobbin getting cut short. I tried to clean the trimmer area but there is not much to clean since my amaya is still brand new and i havent stitched a whole lot of things on it yet.
So basically, i did some maintenance tests and looked at how i can prevent the bobbin from getting cut short.
Basically what i did was loosed the knife screw a little, and slightly adjusted it so the thread hooking thing is just about covering the bobbin thread pathway. This is of course having the hook out using the maintenance test. So far, I havent had one bobbin failure. Its been smooth running. Thanks all and I hope all who have the same problem will be able to solve it with what i did but if something doesnt go right, then dont blame me as well. Adjust at your own risk.Just started Embroidery and I love it.
