  • Bobbin thread curly

I have started having problems with the bobbin curling up and getting caught on the hook. I checked the archives and saw nothing about this. Any ideas will be appreciated. The bobbins are from Maderia

Is it in correctly? The bobbin, that is. When the bobbin faces you, so that you are looking at the bobbin in the holder, the thread should come off the top. When you pull the thread the bobbin turns clockwise.

If I had the bobbin in wrong it would have done this a long time ago. Thanks for the thought. It only happens when there is a tie in or tie off. Sometimes the thread does not cut correctly but this is a new problem. I changed to a different bobbin to see if the bobbin thread is still curley and it still happened. I am stitching out a design that has many tie ins and tied outs. I did oil the hook as specified routinely. Thanks Juli if you have any other ideas I will appreciate it.

I was just going to suggest that myself. And check to make sure that your machine is using the right cutter code. Maybe lenghen the tie-in/out lengths.
