• What size hoop is this?

I have an Amaya XT and it came with a wood rectangular frame. I have never used it until now but I cannot find it in the list of hoops in DS V9. The inside hoop measures approx. 16.5" x 11.5" There is a sticker on it with the numbers 12344...if that means anything. I did look in the "Customize Hoop List" and I didn't see it there.

If I need to add the hoop in myself, do I enter the exact inner hoop specs? But I would think if the hoop came with the machine, it would be in the list.

In the the tools menu
both OS and DSV9
Hoop setup
click "Customize hoop list"
put a check mark in the box before
Rect. W (17.25 X 11.75)

and it will be in your list from then on.

Thank you, I thought it might be that one. I must have a different ruler than Melco because any way I try to measure the hoop, I don't get those numbers...ha ha ha

Measure ANY of the hoops and compare against what Melco has them listed at...it won't be the same.
That's the Melco way....

Hoop measurements are all to the outside of the inner ring. Not the sewable area. For plastic hoops the measurement will be nearly exact. Wood hoops may vary a bit due to manufacturing inconsistencies.

So, an 18cm round hoop will have a sewable area that is a little over 14cm. You have to subtract the thickness of the hoop on each side (about 8mm) and then provide clearance for the pressor foot (another 10mm).
