  • Smallest font to use

I have a job to digitize and run a half dozen polos...but part of the design is 'A Division of LaValley Lumber' or similar...and I haven't done any text under .20 or so. I have all the fonts that came with the XT last year but don't know which one is the 'smallest' plain (helvetica type) to use. Have to get it digitized for stitch count today so any suggestions would be appreciated!
I don't think the XT came with the 'micro fonts'...or maybe I haven't seen them in the list

DesignShop has a micro block built into the software. Look at the Alphabets.pdf file. I suggest not running any font below .25 on polos because it will be almost impossible for someone to read it unless they are less than 2 feet away.

I'll look for it...but already tried to talk them out of the 'divison of' line and they ran it by the 'powers that be' and were told 'it stays'. At least I got out of the full fill oval around the whole thing-it would have been 25,000 stitches or more! Personally I would have gone with just the logo and not the tagline but I can't win every time!

I use Arial-Dak for small text- I can go down to .17" and it be legible on pique knit. I bump the column width adjustment up to around 168 to 170%. Good luck!

Just ran off the design with the Micro Block, at .17 on a very heavy pique knit. Mesh and 1.5 oz. tearaway under it. Pull comp 110 and density of 4, slant of 10 degrees.
Came out legible-still small but had to include it!
Without the full oval background design is only 6300 stitches, so now I wait for their approval.
          All this for 6 shirts...
