    Now that's just funny!
    There's a lot of "m's" there.

"Melco's Marvelous Moaning Myrtle Monogramming Machine Makes Mysterious Moans Mostly on Mondays".

    Anyone got something to add??

You know what else if funny?,....

The other day, a lady walked into our retail shop and asked my wife at the counter...

      "Do you all do Mammograms???"

Well, I tripped over five boxes trying to run from the back of the store to say,..
      "yes Mam!"

Even my wife saw the humor and had to laugh.

This drives me crazy, but Don thinks I am already crazy...it doesn't bother him but it drives me up the wall...I will touch the arm and it will quit but he fusses at me for doing that but sometimes I just have too...like I said it doesn't bother him...since we are both getting old and our hearing is fading maybe he doesn't hear it as loud as I do...Ed, I know you did your trick when you were here to help but it still buzzes or snores or what ever you want to call it
...sometimes I think she does it just to drive me crazy...LOL...and all this time I thought my Maya was the only one with this problem...I guess we can all go nuts over this since it seems to happen to more than just our sweet little ole Maya...LOL...now I feel so much better knowing that she is like her other family members and that there is really nothing wrong with her...until next time...

            Ms. Jenny,
The only "trick" I did on your machine was to try and minimize the vibration from the top plastic covers. This noise you tend to hear when the machine is sewing - particularly when it's just getting started in it's slow stitches.
There's not much that can be done to stop the machine's motors from joining in on the conversation. Other than touching something that is connected to the particular motor in question until it decides to stop and even then it may not stop for long.
This is why I suggested holding down the stop button for 5 seconds and this will put the machine into "sleep mode" which will quiet all motors. Hold the start button down for 5 seconds and this will "wake" the machine when ready to sew.

              Holy Cow!!
Let me clarify what I just said for all who are reading.

"Other than touching something that is connected to the particular motor in question..." This means ONLY when the machine is NOT SEWING and at rest.
After all, this is the sound everyone is talking about. The buzzing that takes place when the machine is at idle and is NOT SEWING.

Make sure you don't stick your fingers anywhere around moving parts while the machine is sewing, tracing or any movements at all.

              That is all.

I just smack (whichever one- they all do this) on one or the other of the plastic covers- like we did the tv "back in the day". If that doesn't work, I put my next job on that machine, as if to say "I'll give you something to cry about"- works like a charm.

We tried putting them to sleep, but sometimes couldn't wake them and sometimes when the woke up you couldn't sew until you reset the design. Other times they would not go into sleep mode. It didn't make no difference how long you held the buttons down. Bill

If, for any reason, you push in the red button to put it to sleep and then release it before the 5 seconds is up, it will not go to sleep. You must then hit the green button and then go back to the red and hit it for 5 seconds. The same is true in the reverse. Don't touch either button and let go before the 5 seconds is up.

I have held the button for 30 sec and it would not wake up, but some times it would, but had to reset the design befor you could sew again. Was too much bother trying to make it work on 4 machines, so just quit doing it. Bill

Machines are running very good, very little problems. The first time we tried it they went to sleep ok, but at wake up we had to reset the designs to start sewing again, Bill from ILL
