Varing column width of fonts

When we sew out lettering in Oesco block the Ls,Ys,Is,Ns,Ms,As sew out thiner column widths then Os,Bs,Es and Ss. How do you make all the column widths the same? Also at the bottom of some letters like Es and Ls there is an extra stitch at the end of sewing the letter that sticks down. We tried all different col widths, densitys, underlays, etc but nothing works. the above does it on on other block also. Thanks, Bill from Fineline Using Design Shop Pro + 7

I have had what appears to be an odd stitch at the end as you described. It only happens to me when using 'tie in/tie off' type #1. So far I have been able to eliminate it by changing to type #2.

definitely sounds like a t/in and/or t/out problem. If you click on "code sheet", does the description say anything about knit or the type of material being embroidered?

You might try adjusting your pull compensation on the letters that are too narrow.

I hadn't realized for the longest time that you can change properties on individual letters without having to make it a separate piece. You can re size, change density, increase/decrease pull comp, etc. of any single letter in a word you type. Quite handy

Also, I've tried eliminating stitches before, but for some reason when I send it to Amaya OS, it still reads the stitches I had eliminated in DS. I think in order to correct problems like that, I saved it as a .dst file and resent it.

Wow! That is super. Hadn't realized that either. You can even change fonts and sizes, add a border, change color, etc. But you can't move the letter up and down.

Actually, I believe you can move them up and down. I did it ONCE on accident, but I haven't figured out how to do it again. :-( Maybe it's a matter of holding down ctrl or alt and clicking on the letter....I don't know . . . maybe I'll look later. Or if someone else knows and they'd like to share, that would be great! :-D

YES!! Hold down the ctrl key to move one letter. And you can move it all over the place. This is just super!

I figured it out, had to uncheck the entery/exit box and the tie in/tie out box. No more extra stitch at the bottom of some of the letters !!!!!! Thank all of you for your responce, Bill at Fineline in IL Oh and I did know about holding down on control key to move letters up & down, even tho I don't know how to digitize.
