  • Color Sequence Problem

When I go to set the color sequence I get my blue and gold colors then at the end there are 2 black colors that are not on my design. When I stitch the design out it will not stitch out correctly.
I try to make sure the colors on the DS is correct and it shows 6 colors and on the Amaya color sequence it shows 8 colors, 2 of them show black but as I hold the arrow on the color it shows one of the colors I have in the design. Then it only stitches out 4 colors and will not go to where I have a 65/9 needle for small letters. What the heck is wrong?

I think the file has become slightly corrupted. Try doing things like copying and pasting and saving under a new name. I have had this happen too. You just need to fool around with it. Do you have any "shadows" or "blends"? These could also be causing problems.

Save as an EXP or DST and load that into OS

Thanks Juli and Ian, I will give those things a try. My other designs are just fine. None of this happened until I placed a trim after each letter. Not sure if that had anything to do with it or not.

It could have been the trims.

You could reduce the lenght at which a trim and tie-in-out accure instead and the software will take care of the trims for you.

          just an idea.

That is something I did not know about I will mess around with that and see what happens. Thank you. I figure if I learn something new every day by the year 3000 I may learn this stuff.

I have had this problem also and Melco says it is a problem with the software that they are aware of and are trying to correct. If the additional black colors are at the end of the color selection, just ignore them.
