  • Problem with Shadow

I have a real bad problem here!

I did an 8 letter name in a font, wireframed it, tweaked the hell out of it, Then shadowed them all. After than I manually put an outline around the letter but not the shadow. In DS Pro + V9 it is showing and slow sewing the sequence on each letter as shadow first, then the letter, then the outline. So, I have set my color sequence Green, black, white. Green shadow, black letter, white border. BUT when I take it into OS and sew it,it is using first green, but sews the letter and not the shadow like it is supposed to!

Is this a glitch? The shadow has got to sew first!

    Any ideas?

looks like everyone else is on vacation today...LOL...
I wonder if in your color selection, is the first 'color' on 'skip'?
If the shadow is first in DS 9, then letter, then outline, it 'should' sew that sequence. But if the gremlins got into the design, you should select 'all', 'copy', then open a new page, and 'paste' the whole thing and try it again-number it as version 'b' so you make sure the right one loads. Every once in awhile DS7 would do crazy things like that and it was a corruption of that page.

Ouch...without seeing what you have in the program I'm of no use to you. If you were able to stop, reload the correct sequence, and start over in the exact spot you could hide it...been there, done that. But if you can't take out the stitches without it showing...you have to be able to get it dead on exact spot to redo.
        Good luck!
only happens with a small job, rush time frame, and no one around to help...

I am NOT happy! This thing is NOT sewing out in the order of the file! It is still trying to sew the main letter and it is sewing it backwards. The way I digitized it is the little piece that hangs off the left of the left upright is supposed to sew first, then the left upright, then the cross piece, then the right upright. But the way it is sewing is the right side sews first and even starts where it should end! Very weird.

I tried copying and saving under a new name, and it did not help at all! I am not happy!

I this a function of the shadow? I am thinking that it is. Has anyone used the shadow function and had this problem?
