• Monogram shirt cuffs

When putting initials on a man's shirt sleeve cuff does the lettering get placed so the man wearing the shirt can read it ( towards the arm) or facing towards the hand? Should I put it right in the middle of the cuff? Do I place it on the arm that he wears his watch on or his right arm for shaking hands?

Thanks
Cindy

This is information I have regarding monogramming on long sleeve shirt cuffs. It should be placed on the sleeve of the hand you extend to shake with:

Shirt Cuffs
Long Sleeves

(the bottom of the letters pointing toward
the bottom of the cuff).

Fold cuff in half, starting with button at one side, and buttonhole on the other side. Edge of monogram should be 1 inch from the center of cuff, towards the buttonhole. (Center of monogram should be 1 3/8 inches from the center). The bottom of the monogram should be 1/4 inch above the stitching at the bottom edge of the cuff.

Monogram lettering should be 1/4 to 3/8 inch tall.

Hope this helps,

Sharon thanks for posting this (and Cindy for the Q) I have a customer who wants his log put on the shirt cuffs and I have done some in the past, which he wasn't thrilled with the placement. Now I have something to work off of.
