Quick question from a rookie for any of you experts out there. I am getting a little pucker in scrub tops (65/35 polycotton). Should I adjust Pull Comp, Pull Offset, more stabilizer, bobbin tension? Small letters are sewing out great otherwise. twinsmom

Try hooping it tighter than you think possible, assuming it's a woven top.

I use a template made out of the rubber shelf liner or throw rug backing when hooping scrub tops and wovens. This keeps the material taunt and keeps the hoop in place. I just draw a line around the inside of the bottom hoop onto the matting then cust out the middle almost to the line, but where there is just enough matting left to be seen on the inside of the top hoop when it is laid on the fabic. When you hoop, the top hoop catches the non slip matting and keeps the fabric and hoop from moving around or slipping. I hope this makes sense as it is an easy concept but hart to explain in words. I have several of these matted templates in all hoop sizes.
