    any tricks to using with the madeira supertwist metallic thread? I tried and it broke and broke and broke!!...

    I'll be anxious to see some as well...I ended up getting two metallic colors in Robison-Anton to get through the holiday orders.

      I try to us a high density, slow the machine down, use a larger needle. Go to settings, settings by color, click in the box and set the needle to the metallic thread paramaters. All of this works for me. I use several brand of metallic and find that Supertwist is one of the most difficult because it is thicker. A larger needle should help that. Hope some or all of this helps.

        This question comes up about once a month. Make sure the density is about 10% thinner because metallic thread is thicker than regular thread. I use Isamet and run it at 750spm with no problems.
