Why is it that people want custom decorated apperael and they want it cheaper than what they can buy a T-Shirt for at the store???

also everybody wants one item. You explain to them that there is the item cost, digitizing cost, and time to produce it and they look at you like you are from a different planet, and say so 12.00 should cover it?

    Just Frusterated and ranting!

People are quite ignorant when it comes to pricing. Just tell them your price and then let them decide if they want it. They can always go somewhere else and also find out the true price. $12 - yes, for 6 doz, but for one it is $35 or $50 or whatever. Or you can tell them to order from china - min qty 4 gross + shipping + US Customs and 6 to 8 weeks.

You really don't want a customer like that anyway.

I am somewhat of a lurker in here too, and Juli seems to always have the good answers. Get paid for your time- that's the one thing you have that the customer can never replace. Juli- keep up the good work & advice!

I am kind of like "Doctor, heal thyself." I am soooo great at giving other people advise, but can I solve my own problems of thread breaks and mis- trims? NO

Because people can't argue with people over seas who work for dimes and they expect us to give it away and wonder why we are out of business the next year. They want special stuff for nothing I have found if you have a price book and say this is final they argue less than trying to explain it.
I have found those that argue with you will not be back next time even if you give it away. They just move to the next person who will do it for nothing. Just give a price and if they return then maybe give them an extra shirt or hat for loyalty.
People who argue with you in the long run cost you more than they are worth.

The other problelm is that some people are giving stuff away. I do work for fire departments and some lady is giving away shirts for $2.00 less than I can make them for.
They look horrible ( home sewing machine) but still.
Some people could not care less what it looks like.
