  • Velocity Jacket

I have a customer that I need to embroider on the Port Authority Velocity Jackets and I'm wondering if anyone has sewn on these before. I would greatly appreciate tips.

What type and size needles, what backing. I have a logo that is about 15,000 stitches plus names to do.

Asking for help again, These jackets are from San Mar number J774. The shell is 100%nylon and the lining is 100% polyester.

There doesn't seem to be any stretch to the material. Which is best needle to use Sharp or Ball Point? Which size is best 75/11 or 80/12. These jackets aren't cheap and I hate to risk loosing one. So please if anyone has suggestions share with me.

    Thanks
    Sue

      I'd start with a sharp 75/11.

Thank you Barb, that was my thought too. You were the only one that responded, I guess nobody has used these jackets before.

As a general rule use a sharp needle on wovens and ball point on knits. A 75/11 or 70/10 will work.
