  • DST or EXP or...?

I know this has been discussed before, but was there a final best choice of what format for designs that are not in Amaya format?

Here's the order that you would prefer your designs to be in...

    1) OFM
    2) CND
    3) EXP
    4) DST or any other format that your Design Shop software will read.

EXP, DST and I think CND do not hold color information. If you want the colors to show up right, then pick one of the home formats like PCS.

Ah, but CND comes non-expanded, so you could edit the design if need be. Otherwise, I usually buy PES because the colors seem truer but have noticed lately that PES adds jump stitches in odd places when sewing out.

Well, Nothin ain't perfect - we just have to muddle along!

But that is nice to know about the CND format.

Muddling can be a good thing -- so many opportunities to learn something!
