I was running low on those little cardboard thingies to put under the small spools. Because I also sew and have two granddaughters, I have spools of cheapie ribbon I pick up at WalMart or Joanns when it is on clearance. It's about ten yards to a spool, and the spools make the perfect substitute for thread coasters. They are round cardboard with a hole in the middle that fits over the thread tubes. One less thing to worry about ordering.
