  • trying to sew out a pillowcase

I'm at wits end. For two hours last nite, I tried to sew out a design on a 200 count pillowcase. I set my pressfoot height, made sure my bobbin tension was ok and even changed my needle from 70/10 to 80/12 and still got nothing but bobbin breaks and thread breaks. Should I be using a finer needle? The design is very fine and the top thread kept getting pulled down inside the bobbin case. What am I doing wrong?

You went from a smaller needle to a larger one. Stick with the 70/10. Your design may be too dense and you didn't say what you were using for stabilizer.
