Caps with lights in the bill

Has anyone ever done a cap with lights and switch (more like a push tab) on the bill? If so, any tips and tricks would be appreciated.

If I straighten the bill very much to put it on the cap frame I am wondering if it won't affect the light hook up somehow. Will the bill get stuck on the machine during embroidery? Not only that but it is a unstructured cap to boot so will have to stabilize ALOT.

Linda, I do Panther Vision hats all the time and just ease the batteries back so as not to have then under the band. You have to turn the sweatband out nearly clear around or as far as you can. The bill doesn't present a problem, the wires are slack enough not to pull out of anything.

Thanks Jo, Do you use the bill clamp? What speed do you embroider? As you can tell, I have a customer that is very picky and only one hat to do as a trial. Thanks for your extended knowledge and expertise.

Are you the same Jo that has the stitch-saver fabric? If so I got your message on that and will take care of the s/h as requested.

Same Jo. I use the bill c;amp and sew at 850 usually.
