  • polyester basketball shorts

I am having trouble sewing a design on 100% polyester basketball shorts. The design is two interlocking athletic font "C"'s using the puffy foam. I have used a pair of my sons old shorts to practice on and have alot of puckering. have tried various combinations of backing with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you are using two layers of cut a way backing and try choosing "Standard Acti-feed" instead of Auto. You will have to choose a number relative to the thickness of the puff foam. Start around 10 - 15 and adjust as necessary. If you are getting too many false thread breaks, lower the number. If the stitches look too tight, raise the number.

Make sure you are using a sharp needle - for cutting of the foam.
