  • Solution to threadbreaks story

I just finished 2 lots of t-shirts on which I was having so many thread breaks that I just wanted to scream! I was using the No-Show iron on, which I like. I use this all the time and one of the designs I did, I have sewn at least 1000 times.

I adjusted everything I could think of and nothing helped much. Finally I threw a piece of tear-away under and just like magic, not one thread break. Now the funny thing about this was that sometimes I forgot to stick that piece of tear-away under the design and it still had no thread breaks. What do you make of that?

Have you sacraficed any small farm animals to the Amaya Princess Goddess recently as instructed to in the owner's manual??? If not, you "reap what you sew".
      Ah ha ha hahahahahhaahahahahahah!!!

      Seriously,
Given what you've said, I wouldn't think the backing is your problem here or else you might have a combination problem.
Always go back to basics in isolating needles, designs, and of course, questioning the operator.

Try sewing a design that you know runs well and see if you have any problems there. Maybe you have an intermittent problem with the machine.... say a small amount of tangled thread in one of the thread feed gears.

This was a design that I have sewn at least 1000 times. It's not the design.

I got chickens. Think a little chicken blood sprinkled around will do the trick?

Yes, this has happened to me but lately I have found a piece of left over thread from a previous trim just hanging around the bobbin area that caused thread breaks. Other times, there would be a piece of lint on the fabric that can cause a thread break. Sprinkled chicken blood may do the trick.

We were having thread breaks a lot and switched thetie in & out to # 4. This seam to do the trick. We are having problems with little loops on small lettering, .5 to .75 inch. Don't have problem on designs. any sugestions? Tried tighter bobbin, no luck

Try sticking a piece of tear-away under it. Worked for me!
