I've searched the archives for recommended digitizers but can someone recommend a good digitizer for realistic animals in particular dogs with long hair?
Sal Lucchese (spelling?) at All-In-One Hooper company has done some for me.
Depending on the dog-I had to do a 'custom' of one of those bedroomslippers with feet dogs...all hair and bark-found the perfect 'breed' image in Dakota Treasure Chest, and using a color picture from the client, matched threads to her own dog and it was only a ten minute 'conversion! You can also change/move parts around to match a particular 'color pattern' like on beagles easily without paying for custom digitizing.
Thanks for the info. I have every available stock design for this particular breed.... And have "monkeyed" with the coloring as the breed varies - a lot. Am looking to use some photos of the dogs doing agility and herding.
Yeah...once you get a 'breed' club to buy from you-they want EVERYTHING for that breed, don't they!
Ran into that with a cow group...LOL
I'd say give Sal a call... [email protected]
his direct email.
I also want to mention the great shading in Lee Caroselli's dog designs at www.balboastitch.com. One of my first jobs was a memory pillow for a golden retriever. There were so many colors in the design I was able to easily stitch out an "old" dog. And the designs stitch beautifully.
