what is the best way to make a patch? I have a design that a customer wants to be a patch that can be sewn onto a leather vest. Thanks for any input you can give me.

there is one that is the shape of a breast cancer ribbon and one is the outline design of soldiers standing next to each other. wondering what to put it on to make it like a patch?! thanks
