Hello everyone! I am new to the group and new to embroidery. I use my machine mostly for monogramming purses, totes, and such but I am now getting into more commercial embroidery. I am looking for a dependable and reasonable digitizer. Any ideas? Thanks for any and all help!

Hi Julie, I used my first outside digitizer last month and their work was nothing to write home about. I just started digitizing 2 months ago and I felt my work is as good or better than theirs. Mind you its not Art work im talking about, but commercial embroidery and it's pretty easy stuff to learn on. You can use Auto on a lot of the commercial embroidery, but by hand is more fun and rewarding.

Welcome to Julie in Virginia (as opposed to Julie in Kona!)

I have tried several digitizers and have found Artworksource in Washington State to be my favorite. They are good and fast and easy to work with. I usually get my design back the next day. The only down side, all designs less than a full back are $30.00 regardless of the stitch count but you can build the expense into your quote. My previous digitizers were offshore, I wanted to find someone here and have been very pleased with their work.

I would consider $30 for ALL DESIGNS less than a full back to be an awesome price if that is accurate and their work stitches out without issues. So that would include Cap's too?
Do they provide you with a CND or OFM file. Is their digitizing done using Design Shop?
Thank you

It's accurate for left chest logos less than 20,000 stitches. 99% of the design you would have end up $30. In dealing with them for almost 2 years now, I have only had one design that came back as over the $30 because of the huge stitch count (it was a bugger of a logo with huge fills, tons of detail, stiches galore).

Quoting...

"◦$30 - for all jobs except Full Backs, max 20,000 stitches. We have some rare exceptions.

◦$99 - for Full Backs. We have some rare exceptions."

They do not use design shop. You can get your file as a DST, EMB, EXP, PXF or PES. Yes, it includes caps.

Kendra and Corey are great to work with over there. Mention Levelbest and AmayaUsers if you do have contact with them

I like it because I don't even have to think when I quote someone setup for a logo anymore.

I've used Artwork Source several times now and I've never had a problem with the designs. I think they are very easy to work with and I also like that fact that I know how much it's going to cost. Sometimes when you get digitizers who charge by the stitch count, the work is compromised because they are trying to add as many stitches as possible to make their money. OF COURSE THAT'S NOT TRUE FOR ALL DIGITIZERS THAT CHARGE BY THE STITCH COUNT.....PLEASE DON'T CHEW ME OUT!!! Anyway, I've been very pleased with Artwork Source.
