Athletic fill color changes

Yesterday I had to sew 1 number on a sleeve:gold w/ a black border. In DS, using athletic fill #2, there are 3 color changes at the bottom but the colors are correct in the window. When I loaded it in OS there are still 3 color changes & the colors in the number are not correct in the window. Why are there more color changes than I'm using? How do I know what colors to set in the color sequence? What am I missing here? Thanks! Dianne

Dianne, look in your stitch tree. Is there a color change at the beginning? When this happens to me, I look for the odd color change and delete it.

I looked in the stitches tab when the design is in DS--there is a color change as the first item. But I can't delete it. The athletic fill #2 is still showing 3 color changes when there should only be 2. What do I check now? Thanks! Dianne
