  • Stacking Fonts

I have seen a lot of people "stacking" fonts and I am wondering about the best way to do this and it still look read-able. I am specifically looking for what size, how many inches, do you use on the large back letter and then what size letters work for the name through the large letter in the back.

Also is it popular to use the same fonts when stacking? For example use a large S in curlz in the back with smith written through it also in curlz or would Smith look better in a different style?

Any ideas/thoughts on this would be helpful thanks!

      Liz:

It has been awhile since I did this but I think I used a font that is more blocky then set the curlz font on top.

      Sorry not more help!

If you scroll down to Layout #8 on my popup page you can see the stacking font.

              Thanks for the responses!

I saw a burp cloth from one of my competitors here in town and they did a single curlz letter and it was 3 inches in the back. Then the name was in one inch through the center.
