  • Slim Line and Sanmar Essential Tote

Hi all. I am finding that I am stitching more and more on the essential tote from Sanmar. I am sure this would be easier with the Slim Line.

What is the best size for this and which chassis does it use? Also is this the best way to hoop these bags? I am finding like everyone else the plastic hoop wants to pop off and with the fastframe it is hard to get it down in the center of the bag. Thanks in advance!

WIth the slimline you leave it on the machine and only remove the bag everytime and replace with a new one. No Backing or topping. Such a breeze, and worth the $$.
I have several sizes, but the one I use for the bags is 6 X 5 and the chassis is the Part# 17124.

Thanks! Until I can afford this- I am just starting out- will a steamer get the hoop burn out of the essential tote? I have figured out how to keep the hoops together with clips, but it does leave some hoop burn...Anyone tried steam?

That works on apparel. I have never hooped a bag!
Many people use a little spray of Magic Sizing for hoop marks on apparel, so that might be an easy alternative for bags. I am sure in the morning someone will answer that for both of us.

          Liz:

I sell a ton of these bags and hoop every single one you are right if you don't get the plastic hoop tight enough they will pop off the bag.
Steam will take the burn right out as that is what I use to get the hoop burn off them if there is one.

          Good Luck!
