Hey gang. hope everyone had a great holiday. I have a question... I just got twill letters from Stahls. Is there a way in DS to import the letters and have it be a font that I can just type or do I have to insert each individual letter?? That wont be any trouble but I dont want to have to sew each letter at a time and have to stop/applique/start Is there ANY way to make this easier? Please?????

No, they sent a sew disk but for example, if I want to set up the name smith, do i have to insert the s, then insert the m, etc... then line them up and sew them letter by letter or can i set up the lettering so i can have a font where i can just choose that font, type smith and it will align like regular text.

Coming in late to this, but, the sew disk has the design already set up.

Ugh. it isnt a design, I just bought some stock 3" letters from Stahls and the disk they sent has 26 different files, one for each letter. Has anyone done personalized lettering in twill for teams and if so, how did you do it. Ugh. Thanks Juli, I got the email and this will NOT beat me, I WILL WIN!!! )

Yes, I have done this before. I just tried again to refresh my memory and found that it crashed when i tried to close the editor but i was able to make it work. Restarting your computer should allow you back in.
Once the editor is open create a new alphabet by naming it. Then use File ->Insert to load a letter. Assign a key and then repeat.
It will "behave" like other alphabets, just set the height to 3" and type away.Janel Pinneke<br />Silver Star Embroidery
