Sure....in either DS or OS, choose File, Save As. Then in the save as window, use the drop-down menu in the Save As Type field, find Babylock (pes) option and then click on the Save button.

    Hope this helps.

After seeing the question about changing a file to PES I was wondering if there is a way to change a PES format to a CND or OFM format or other format so that changes could be made. I bought a Bernina 650 in October 2003. It uses PES format. When we bought our Amaya XT we knew we could use the many designs I already had but we are unable to edit these designs. I have so many PES designs that I would like to use sometimes but we often need to edit the design but are unable to. If this is possible and anyone knows how we could do this it would increase my design files for my business. Sometimes we want to use one of these designs and take something out or change the size which we are unable to do as they are now. I known Amaya XT reads the PES files but our softwear will not let us make the changes we need in the PES format. I hope you understand this message. Sorry if what I am asking is confusing or not clear. Thanks,

        Jenny,

This will depend on what level of software you are running. Are you running PRO+?

If so, you can right click on the design or element you need to convert, in the project tree on the right side of your screen and select "Convert Object To Wireframe."

          Rod or Sharon,

Thanks but no we don't have pro...we just have the simple Design Shop...when we bought the Amaya we didn't know if we would need the Pro at first so we only got Design Shop...so I guess the answer to my question with our software is, No we can't do that...but thanks for all your help...I love this site...I am jealous of the cruise that came up before we knew about this site...if there is another one or any other type of meetings or conferences that we might be able to attend to learn more we want to be informed of them...I have learned so much from this site already in the couple of weeks I have been aware of it...Hello and happy New Year to all of you Amaya Users out there from the good old state of Alabama
          ...until next time...Jenny

            Jenny,
            You have options,....

            - Edit your PES designs in your Brother software, if allowable,
            - Purchase a higher level of Design Shop,
            - Contract the services of a qualified digitizer who already has a higher level of Design Shop and knows how to use it,
            - You can delete stitches from your PES design in Design Shop using the Stitches window to the right of the screen. This is useful in removing unwanted stitches. If you need to add something, you can digitize using the tools in your level of Design Shop. If you don't know how to do this, training would be a must.
            - Chances are you can do what you need to edit to your designs with the software you have, however it may take several hours to accomplish what a higher level of design shop would do in just a few clicks. That is what you are paying for with the higher levels - Time Savings.

            Wishing you the best,
