  • help desperately needed!

I am unsure of how to go about stitching my design in 2 sessions since it is too large for my hoop. I can see a place where I can divide it, but I have no idea how to get it hooped and started stitching in the correct spot. I have an amaya big red. HELP!

    Hi Mary,
I do this all the time, but I still don't think it's easy. What I do is mark the point of the actual center of the entire design, draw a perpendicular and horizontal line through it to represent the x and y axis, then plot the centers of each separate sew file relative to the original center using the X and Y axis. I use metric measurements since they are easier to fine tune.
I also mark the x and y axis of each design on the fabric so that I can true it up in the hoop.
It would be great to digitize a start point then use that to do the alignment at the machine, but I haven't spent the time to figure out how to get all that to work between Wilcom and the Amaya.
    I hope this makes sense.
