  • Overlap of elements question

I am finding that viewing the overlap amount between elements when digitizing doesn't actually stitch out with the proper overlap. Is there a guide anywhere to measure the overlap needed so that sections stitch without gaps.

IMO, no there isn't. There are just too many factors involved. That's why you have to do a sample sewout on the material you intend to sew on. Then you take the sample with you to the computer and start adjusting the outlines that need it while looking at the sample.

Many digitizers say that if you put the outline just inside the object, then it will probably be OK. And if you do the outline just after the object, then the chances of it matching well is better than if you wait until the end.

    No easy way here.
