Can anyone out there tell me how to convert a jpg to an ofm file?

Its best to manually digitize jpg files. If you are not experienced here then have the professionals do it for you. I use clearsky at http://www.clearsky24.com . There are many others out there as well including some on this list.

      Chow5325,

This will depend on what level of DS you are running, whether or not your level is high enough to allow "Auto digitizing" and the complexity of the design in the jpeg file.

Some files will auto digitize quite well while others will be complete failures in every respect.

As Aaron mentioned said, "IF you are not experienced", then it may be best to send it out.

But to answer your question fully , we need to know what version level of DS you are operating? is it DS lite, DS, DS pro, or DS Pro+?

Artworksource.com - good digitizing for reasonable prices.

Honestly, digitizing makes your work more than most any other part of the process. If you aren't experienced, farm the digitizing out and focus on building the rest of your business. Pass the cost on to your client. You will be glad you did.

It's sort of like opening up photoshop today for the first time and expecting to do artwork worthy of selling this afternoon. It takes a long time to become really good and if you can find a good digitizer, you can make money now and learn, experiment and try out things as you go.

Thanks for the laugh, guys. I can't tell you how many people think you can scan a picture and it comes out an embroidery design. No offense meant to the person who asked the question.
