  • Individual names

Ok, I remember in class over a year ago they mentioned that we can auto load the next design but looked through my notes and couldn't find anything.

I have 30 cosmetic bags to do all with individual names and it would be nice to make this as painless as possible.

I should mention that I do not use DS so will that make a difference in the process?

    TIA~Happy Turkey Day as well!

Group names is a feature of DesignShop and yes it makes it really easy. You can manually do a group by placing each name one on top of the other (and the design if you need that too) with a color change in between each series. You will have a stack of names that you won't be able to read in OS just because of the stacking. In the color sequence you can put a stop after the color to allow you to switch bags. Instead of a "stop" I use a empty needle for the first color, that way I don't have to worry about any possiblity of thread needle/color shifting (this happened to me after a stop, the needle/color didn't advance correctly). So, if I don't catch the end of the first name/design, the machine moves to the empty needle and I'll get a "thread break"; then I'll manually move to the correct needle/color and go.

Another thing you could do is use the Design Queue. If you look at the bottom of the status windown (the right side of the screen in OS), you'll see a tab. Each name would be in its own file. Add each file to the queue. You'll have to load after each design is completed from this same screen.

Hope this makes sense. Good luck.

      Tina,

Maybe your best bet, being that you do not use DS, is to open each name in OS and save it to a project list.

With the design open in the Amaya view window but not "loaded" to the machine, do a "File", "Machine", "Queue to Current list". This will assign the name and/or design to a "Project List."

To access the "Project List", look at the bottom right hand side of your screen, in OS, and you will see a tab now that says "Design Queue". Left click on this and you will see and be able to load any name and/or design from the list that you have assigned to go there....
