• Need Help Identifying Melco Font

It never fails - I am away on business and a job needs to be done at home. For some reason, we can't find the original file - but I know it was created with a specialty font that ships with design shop pro plus.

My wife says she cant find it and we need this done by COB tomorrow.

So, I need your help. Can you identify the font we used here http://www.amayausers.com/southcarroll.gif - it produces a look kind of like tackle twill.

If so, and you have it, I'd really appreciate it if someone could use it to type "VOU" on one file and "JAGUARS" on another and send to me at john at levelbest dot com. Cant go wider than 10 inches and should be between 1 ½ to 2 ½ inches tall, ideally 2 inches. Help MUCH Appreciated

I'd do it myself, but I forgot to bring my dongle with me and can't run design shop on my laptop with me - and DS doens't let me remote desktop in and do anything.

First, the font is Varsity. Second, I remote into my home computers and use DesignShop so there is some other issue going on but I don't use Microsoft's crappy Remote Desktop.

So, I am going to ask --- Can I use DS from my office computer which is upstairs when the dongle is downstairs in my workroom? I am connected by hard wire so the connection on the net is sure and steady. It would sure save a lot of time running up and down the stairs. Of course, running up and down is almost my only exercise, so maybe I should leave well enough alone.

Your computer has to run a static IP address. Accessing by IP address is the best way to do it. Remote Desktop does work very well on a LAN but not to well over the internet (even though it is suppossed to.) The link below will tell you how to set it up.

Unfortunately I have XP Home so I guess I can't do that. Back to running up and down.

                John,

Was someone able to help you out? I don't have the varsity font but hopefully someone does.

Unfortunately, no - but I got back in town in time (barely) to get the order out. It was helpful getting the font name though (thanks Steve).

You could go out and purchase PC Anywhere which will do the same thing - and if I remember correctly, you don't need to have static IP's set up for that - it will just search your network for computers that have it installed.

Really? I just might do that. I have another program that also has a dongle. Will PC Anywhere access any program that uses a dongle, assuming, of course, that the dongle is plugged in? Are you sure it can be done?
