Has anyone monogrammed on car headrest? How much trouble is it. Appreciate tips and advice.

I sewout on leather and vinyls all the time for auto interior guys I work with. But I always have them bring me the material (cut oversized to what they need to allow room for adjustment) before sewing it together. I use 75/11 BPPD needles and generally try to stick with a fill stitch. I have done some with a satin stitch. Depends on what the design is. Vinyl is usually very stretchy and needs to be well stablized and will required a higher density number and wider stitch length to reduce pull and pucker. Plus I always sew these items at slower speeds around 600 to 700.

You might also want to try some kind of topping material, just to protect the material.

        Sue and Debbie,

Thanks for the good advice. I may have to do several sew outs and see how well they look.
