Lettering Problem

Hopefully can shed some light on something. When I embroidery letters on a cap 1" tall or higher, the up/down columns do not stitch straight. The letter always has a pointed look. Example, I was putting an MC on a cap and the legs of the M are wider at bottom than at the top. Can anyone explain how to fix this?

Structered or non and how high on the cap is the lettering?

They are structured caps flex fit, Logo is full front 2.15" tall.

Has anyone embroidered on upholstery material to be used on auto seat headrest? I would appreciate any tips and advice.

Jason- are you sewing center out and what about stabilizer are you doing one or two pieces?

Viv-I have a friend that just did some headrests however he is in Florida right now at a seminar and wont be back until the 14th. I know he ended up taking the headrest appart and then sewing it back together to hoop it and I believe he had to sew it twice..

Yep Center out....its too interlocked letters, but also occurs with a single letter that has straight verical columns. Using Standard Cap Backing

I had some hats a while back that were 5 panel low profile style. When the lettering reached the top of the sewing field it would try and pull the hat loose from the hoop.Once I scaled the design down a little bit all was good.Have you run a trace and then rechecked the hat posistion on the hoop or checked one after it finished sewing before releasing it?
