  • outline not matching up

hello guys and gals!! I am having a problem with the outline of my design not matching up with the design itself. Take the last thing i did it was a firetruck and the outline on the bottom of the front wheeldid not match up to to the design it was actually in the design itself. I am very new to this so i am not sure what to do to fix it!!
    thanks

It could be one of several things causing this. The digitizing, how it was hooped, improper backing, or the material. It might be easier if you took a picture and posted it so we can see the issue. (You can get free hosting at http://www.imageshack.us for the picture and link it here.)

I think it might be the material because it used this material to test something else and had the same problem but when i stitched a diffrent design on a jacket i didnt have this problem..

If you think it is the material, what kind of shirt are you embroidering on? It looks like you uploaded the same picture twice. I can not tell where the outline isn't correct but I did notice the trimmers are not turned on or not trimming properly, I would make sure the machine is trimming to start with, that might be pulling the material some.

I would agree your fabric is contributing to the problem. This is a jacquard fabric. The way the fabric is woven, it is not equally strong on the warp and woof (the vertical and horizontal directions). Try with a muslin or poplin or trigger cloth...something tightly woven and stable. If it is not as bad as with your sample fabric...then you can be pretty well assured the fabric is part of the problem. What did you stabilize it with?
