I am from Wichita Kansas and would love to have someone locally to be my mentor as I learn this new embroidery world and the Amaya. Anyone?

    Joanna:

I am not in Kansas however you have definitely found the best group of people on the net here in Amaya land. John and Aaron have really outdone themselves with this board as everyone truly helps everyone or at leasts tries to help as much as possible.

We all learn from eachother and there are people from other countries even on this board and the techs and those way more experienced then I are all awesome and it is such a great family here.

So whether you find someone close by or just rely on this and other boards to help you through things you will be just fine.

Check out Joyce Jaggers how to videos for different embroidery applications. You can find a link under Marketplace I believe for her website Embroidery Tips and more.

    Good Luck!

      Joanna,
I'm only about 12 short hours from you.
You might just need a good consultation and then try to listen, read, and attend as many courses or training seminars as you want to. That's how most of us got started.
Feel free to call if you need to.

        Ed,
Humm...will pass on the 12 hour drive, but may take you up on a phone call some time. Thank you!!

As a newbie I am trying to absorb as much information as possible. I'm trying to conquer the thread break problem mostly. I hate to admit, but I finally gave up over the weekend and completed an order on my home machine.

          Tina,
Thanks for the suggestion about Joyce Jagger's videos. I have found that I learn quicker with visual demonstration.

And yes, I agree. From what I've read so far on this Amaya Users site, everyone is very polite and helpful.

            Joanna,
Might be worth that phone call.
