  • Monogram Placement on Cuffs

Which sleeve do I put the monogram on and where do I place it on a french cuff?

    Doug,
I can't believe nobody got back to you on this! I do like to go back and see what others have answered and saw you had no replies. In case you still need this I am copyin gfrom a handout I got in training 2 years ago.
"Long Sleeve Shirt Cuff: Fold the cuff in half, starting with the button at one side and the buttonhole on the other side. Then fold in half again. The exact placement is the second fold on the side with the buttonhole. The actual placement is 1" from the center of the cuff toward the buttonhole. Typically the bottom of the design is 1/4: above the stitching at the bottom edge of the cuff."
That said, I have only seen monograms on the right sleeve but I don't know of any hard and fast rules on that. For a french cuff, I would fold it inhalf so it resembles a regular cuff and go from there, placing the monogram at the upper, open edge rather than near the folded lower edge.. Good luck.
