  • Needle Holes

I just did a test logo on a denim shirt and a 100% cotton fishing shirt. I used 1 2oz cutaway backing and solvy on top. I can see needle holes all around the lettering. Any suggestions?

Are you using a sharp needle or a ballpoint?
You should be using a ballpoint on a knit or denim shirt.
Is the design too dense for the fabric?
Also, why are you using solvy? I just use solvy on fabrics like fleece, to keep the stitches from sinking into the fabric.

I am using 75/11 bp. The design is block lettering .50 height. I use solvy on everything, makes a better design, my opinion. Maybe just wasting supplies??

As far as making a better design, are you looking for more bulk? An edgewalk works nicely or you can add a point or two in the column tab under column width/pull tab in the "x" and "y".
I have noticed with the stock lettering that I need to check the density. Sometimes it's way too dense to embroider.
Not sure if this would help with the needle marks, but try changing the stitch length setting in the lettering tab to 18.

I'm sure there's a setting (so many settings) that I haven't figured out yet to help you out. Maybe others have some ideas for you.
