  • Help With Machine and Software

Ok guys, please don't laugh but I am trying so hard to get use to my machine and it is driving me bunkers ok! I tried to stitch out a design i had on a towel. Well while the design was stitching it would stop, trim the tread and start again. It did this throughout the whole design. I was blown away. I could not figure out for the life of me what the problem is and so far it is just this design. Also I have DS i would like to try my had at digitizing.(I know down right scarey)but i figure I would atleast give it a shot. Where do I start? I know that there are classes for it thru the school but talking about pricey. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It may be you have excess trims in the file either by design or by interpretation (meaning the number of jump stitches = trim is set too low). You can test the second one by going in to the OS, under settings (I'm not sure which tab) and see what the jumps=trim is set to....change the number to something slightly higher. If this eliminates your trims, great. If not, I would try once again to a slightly higher number. If still no success, you may need to look at the file in DS and eliminate the trims (DS also has an auto trim setting but look for manual trims first). Good Luck.
