If you wanted to heat the 6-panel caps on a press to make them easier to sew, what temp and how long would you set the press for???
    Thank you

I just set them on the hoop frame, and steam the center seam until moist-just a few seconds-with the little hand steamer right on it-and move back and forth over the face. Press down real hard with the palm of your hand, pull the back down, and set the catch on the hoopband...should snug it right down.
The steam cools off so fast you won't burn your hand-at least we haven't yet!
I do it just before we send that cap to the amaya...and it definitely fixed a LOT of problems on hats with the double folded 'seam' with the additional 'seam cover' strip sewn inside.
I think Juli posted this first?
