  • Dress Shirts

This is probably a really basic question, but this is the first time I'm embroidering dress shirts. Its just a two word logo on the chest, about 3.5" wide and about 3700 stitches. I've tried the no show mesh for backing and a heavier cut away, but there is puckering between the letters. (I did wash and dry the shirt before embroidering).
Any advise on how to stop the puckering would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

Check your lower auto actifeed limit settings. Try using a 4 or 5 for the shirt. This was the one piece of information that has made a difference in all my embroidery results. Hope it helps.

You mentioned this is your first time embroidering dress shirts. Usually issues like this are related to the hooping. Make sure the material is pulled taught in the hoop (Don't stretch the fabric.) Also make sure you are using underlay in the letters to tack down the backing to the shirt before the lettering gets sewn on. I usually use edge walk at 60% on lettering. Also make sure letters are at least .3" tall
